Effective 3/28/2024
West Virginia Medicaid
We are currently unable to accept WV Medicaid, due to issues that are outside of our control. At this time, it is unclear if or how soon we will be able to accept WV Medicaid. As such we cannot accept any New Patients with WV Medicaid at this time.
We will continue to serve current patients with WV Medicaid for the time being and we will provide additional information as it becomes available.

We are not affiliated with, nor employ psychiatrists or any other physicians. We have no hospital affiliations.

What is Behavioral Health?
Behavioral health is generally described as the connection between behaviors and the health and well-being of the mind and body. It encompasses how our experiences impact our behaviors and those behaviors impact our overall health. Most commonly the disciples of psychiatry and psychology practice in the realm of behavioral health, however, other disciplines such as occupational therapy, nutritionists, nurses, as well as many other disciplines may play a role in behavioral health.
About Our Logo
For those who are curious, the Lukas Behavioral Health logo is comprised the Greek letters Psi and Lambda surrounded by an Enso circle. The Greek letter Psi is a common symbol for psychiatry and the Greek letter Lambda is equivalent to the English letter 'L'. The 'Enso' is a Zen Buddhist symbol sometimes referred to as the 'circle of togetherness'. The Enso is a manifestation of the artist at the moment of creation and represents the acceptance of our innermost self. It also symbolizes strength, elegance, and one-mindedness.
